BOROUGH OF HELMETTA RESIDENTS
INFORMATION REGARDING THE GENERAL ELECTION
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2020 – 6:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M.
Our Polling Place for the Borough of Helmetta is at our Helmetta Community Center, 1 Brookside Place (it is across the street from our Post Office).
Executive Order No. 177 was signed by Governor Murphy that most of the voting should be done by “Vote by Mail”.
Your mail-in ballot will be sent to you. Mailing of ballots will begin on September 23.
If you choose to vote by mail you may:
- mail your ballot in through the Post Office
- drop it off in our Voting Drop Off box, which is located in the front of our Municipal Building,
- or you may bring it to our Polling Place on Election Day.
Voting on Election Day at our Polling Place will be by provisional ballot only.
Voting by machine will only be for individuals that are disabled and can not complete a provisional ballot.
Masks must be worn when entering the Polling Place.
Social distancing will be followed.
If you want to find out if you are registered to vote, go to Middlesex County Board of Elections – Vote 2020 – under Ways to Register to vote you will see ‘Not sure if you’re registered”. Click on “Find Out:” and enter your name and birthdate and you can find out. If not, the deadline to register to vote is October 13.
